SRC Camp Feedback

It was Friday the 20th of April. There we were with our luggage packed in the trailer and kombi, ready to go to the SRC camp. Everyone’s faces were filled with excitement and all of us were on the edge for a red letter day. The bus trip to the camp was relaxing and we broke the ice by playing games to keep our spirits high and to get to know each other.

We arrived at the camp site at about 07:45am and were accompanied to our dorms. The girls stayed at “Bush Waters” and the boys at “Bush veld”. We unpacked our bags and went to the hall to meet our fellow SRC members from the other campuses. All the teams gathered at the obstacle course to compete with each other to see which team could communicate effectively with each other. Though we all got our hands dirty, it was worth it because we got to learn more about ourselves.

After lunch we got lectures from various branch managers about communication skills and leadership traits. After supper we had the “S Factor”  -  a little dance competition which involved a multi-cultural dance theme as a form of entertainment.

On Saturday morning we had our breakfast, and then set out for another epic fun-filled day. We were divided into groups and given tasks to complete. After that we were divided into random groups so all CTU SRC members could get to know each other. In between breaks we got to make new friends and interact with each other. After figuring out a brain teaser and attending another information session, we were officially sworn in as SRC leaders of CTU. We also received a certification of attendance.

We, as SRC, would like to take this opportunity to thank CTU Training Solutions for this exciting and educational leadership camp.
