Windows Server 2012 Launch


CTU remains super excited about the launch of Windows Server 2012. We are extremely proud to have been a part of this launch. Setting the scene with a team dressed up as Flight Pilots as Windows Server 2012 takes flight.

CTU attended the Windows Server Launch, a power packed event with just over 1000 attendees. To prove our involvement in the latest technologies, CTU sent its entire tech team to the launch event. Microsoft announced the advantages, functionality and key features of the new Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and how training and certification play a major role in the deployment of the new OS.

What makes the new Windows Server 2012 so great?

In the second part of the launch session, Microsoft covered a deep dive of the virtualization of the new Windows Server 2012. We had learnt that the New Microsoft Windows Server built on Microsoft Windows Azure would create the perfect Public Cloud Platform.

·         Move backend disc – Storage tier systems
·         Flexibility
·         No cost
·         Everything can be driven by PowerShell.

Built from the cloud up, CTU partnered with Microsoft to host Windows Server 2012 hands on labs and first look clinics at various CTU campuses. “We are excited about this new era”, says Microsoft Director Mteto. Microsoft is adamant in building and developing cost effective technologies that will allow the smallest companies do the biggest things cost effectively. CTU emphasise the need for skills for the new Microsoft certifications preparing individuals to work on-premise or in the cloud.

Micorosoft Windows Server 2012 is now available to the customer. If you are more interested in preparing for certification, CTU suggests the Microsoft Virtual Academy and to attend the first look clinics.
