It has become abundantly clear that the IT market is growing in South Africa with in access of 8% as reported in the media!
CTU Training Solutions is excited to take advantage of the growth in IT and we have, in line with the growth in the IT market, extended our footprint to Port Elizabeth and Cape Town starting 2012. We are happy to announce that we have had IT career intakes in both of the new training centres and we are excited to have started with a career campus at our Randburg branch.
To contribute to the development of new entrants to the ICT market, CTU has launched a bursary scheme and will award bursaries to the value of R1 000 000 for 2012. Another first for CTU!!
This is indeed an exciting start to 2012.
We have established CTU Recruits at the end of 2011 and are inundated with requests for market entry professionals with international certifications. CTU Recruits places mainly 2nd year CTU graduates and CTU alumni. The response from the market has been overwhelming and we will exceed our targets in the first quarter with flying colours.
Our corporate division grew in 2011 with a staggering 27% and is well positioned to continue to develop the market in 2012. We have numerous SLA’s with large corporates and our Human Resource Development (HRD) offering is well received in the market. We have been able to extend our offerings to our corporate clients by working towards supplying total HRD solutions to their ICT development needs.
As part of our strong relationship with Microsoft we have started a learnership to empower a public FET in Umtata to deliver ICT qualifications. This is a first, and if successful, will lay the foundation to roll out more and more ICT related programs in public FET’s as a private and public partnership with Microsoft and the MICT SETA as the catalyst.
As you can see CTU is already in 3rd gear and we are looking to have a very successful 2012. We are already gearing up to 2013 with a number of new innovative products to enhance our contribution to the development of the ICT sector in South Africa.
