Rudi Booysen. Senior Consultant and Open Source Trainer, started
as a trainer in the IT industry in 1998 after completing my National Diploma in
Information Technology at Cape Technicon (now named Cape Peninsula
University of Technology). I gained my Red Hat Certified datacentre
Specialist certification as well as my Red Hat Certified Architect
certification in 2012, certifying in clustering & storage, Red Hat
Enterprise Virtualization, troubleshooting and performance tuning, network
services and security, and enterprise deployment and management.
Additional certifications I have acquired whilst with Obsidian
include Zimbra certified administrator as well as the LPI certifications;
LPIC101/LPIC102 and LPIC201/LPIC202.
Willie Engelbrecht. I work for Obsidian Systems. I enjoy Linux
and Open Source, love tinkering with Raspberry Pi, 3D Printers and Arduino. I do consulting by day, and I’m a superhero
by night (could be Bruce Wayne but it’s still unconfirmed). I am certified RHCE, I, X & A with side
certifications in JBoss and MySQL. I
have over 12 years’ experience with Linux.
Those working in the software industry would
know that Red Hat, Linux and Open Source are among the three biggest names in
the software world.
