Through various school visits, training interventions and
solution consulting in 2014 CTU generated a database of 23 383 leads
considering careers in the IT industry which feeds into our youth workforce
development initiatives.
634 individuals were registered in 2014 to attend a first
year Microsoft course (MCSA, MCSE and MCSD) aligned to a national
qualification. In 2014, we managed to build a database of 38 106 students with
the aim of enrolling 732 individuals first year Microsoft students in 2015 which
resulted in a growth average of 86%.
We cater for SMME, government, corporates and individuals
alike, providing training solutions on various technologies through workforce
development programmes, internship programmes, student-to-business programmes and
part time training resulting in a corporate growth of 38% in FY15.
In FY15 CTU has delivered more than 5 000 certifications, a
high volume of new customers developing and proving their skills in FY15.
We are currently accommodating more than 30 learnership projects (SANDF,
Societe General, Tractional, Netsurit, Cisco, Ricoh and FNB to name a few)
across South Africa hosting over 400 students on various NQF4-NQF6 national
qualifications.
CTU has partnered with both Cisco and Red Hat to align the
international certifications to national qualifications in order to provider a
larger selection of certification based qualifications to increase the skills
pool in South Africa.
