The demand for our students (especially
female students) has grown tremendously this year. Jamie-Lee Parks, an MCITP (IT
engineering) second year student, has been appointed at the Stellenbosch local
municipality as an intern, with many opportunities for the future still to
come.
Jamie-Lee comes from Pniel, a
small town between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. She went to Kylemore High
School and chose Information Technology as a career because she finds it challenging
and interesting. She is striving to become a very successful business woman in
the IT sector of South Africa. Her biggest inspiration is Mr. Bill Gates, the
founding partner of Microsoft and influencer of IT as we know it today.
Jamie-Lee loves to spend her free
time watching movies with friends, reading, swimming and surfing the web. The
IT industry is changing constantly and by reading and surfing the web,
Jamie-Lee keeps herself updated with the newest and latest technology.
